What is Data Analytics

Data analytics is the process of deriving hidden insights as well as drawing conclusions (i.e. descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive etc.) about the information they contain in the originally captured data by applying different data mining technique of advanced data science (i.e. decision tree, random forest, naive bayes, support vector machine, logistic regression, multivariate regression etc.) with some necessary data engineering (i.e. profiling with existing variable, deriving some new variable from existing variable, segmentation, imputation etc.) using some machine learning or AI or both analytical software (i.e. R, Python, SAS, SPSS, Data Robot etc.)
